No One Here Get's Out Alive: Through my mind

"I wouldn't mind dying in a plane crash. It'd be a good way to go. I don't want to die in my sleep, of of old age, or OD...I want to feel what it's like. I want to taste it, hear it, smell it. Death is only going to happen to you once; I don't want to miss it."- Jim Morrison.

I picked this quote because I find it ironic that he would say something like this and then mysteriously die years later. He went like one of the ways he said he didn't want to go, either heart attack or over dose, no body knows and no body ever will. I just find this quote ironic

The Misfourtunes of Race

There are many strange and messed up people out there that belive what there doing is the right thing when even in heinz sight it's the worst possible thing ever. A Perfect example of this would be Hitler and the Nazi's. Although he did have a certain level of hatred towards the jew's he did firmly belive what he was doing was the right thing for Germany and the world. The rest of the Nazi regime thought it was right because they were forced to belive it was, the thought of killing and capturing the jew's were forced into there heads so deep it was really the only thing they knew how to do.

Eli Wiesel's speech relates to "The Lottery" quite well actually. In his speech he describes what it was like to be in a Nazi concentration camp in Germany. Like I had mentioned in my previous paragraph all they were trained for was to capture and kill the "enemy". So they really had no idea what they were doing was utterly horrible. This is the same for the villagers in "The Lottery". The tradition of the lottery and the box had been happening for as long as anyone could remember, so long noone was alive from when it had first originated. Even though they were picking someone from their own community to stone to death they felt as if they weren't doing anything wrong simply because it had been going on for age's.

English Blog #3

I have chosen to do this about the three best drummers in my perpective. It's not about how big the band is, how many tours they have done or how many records they've sold, not even on how big their fan base is. It's all about skill, that's the only thing that matters with music, you can have huge singles with the biggest record company but if you have no skill your crap. That's why in my opinion the best drummer out there in Rush's Neil Peart second is Red Hot Chilli Pepper's Chad Smith, and last but not least is Protest the Hero's Moe Carlson. The reason I have picked these three drummers to be in the top three is because in my opinion and with the music i listen to and have listened to they have been the grooviest and most skillful drummers I have encountered. Neil Peart is almost sixty now and i recently saw Rush in Vancouver and he still play as good as when he was just starting off in Rush. All his grooves and percussion parts are perfect and thats the other thing, he just doesnt play drum he is an amazing percussionist as well, with electronic drums and acoustic drums surrounding him he's always doing something amazing, also his eight minute long drum solo's are a perfect mix of rudiment skills mixed with percussion and some jazz to end it off. Chad Smith is an amazing groove drummer. His funk feel to his beats are super super solid and his clinics that he puts on demonstrates how good of a drummer he really is while when playing with RHCP he tends to lay low a bit on the recording. Moe Carlson comes from a tiny tiny band compared to the other two I just but he still has some of the best and complex beats for the type of music he plays. His double bass skills are amazing, it's not that useless straight double bass crap it actually goes with the rythm of the song and the weird time signatures the band uses. He also has some of the fastest chops that actually sound amazing at the same time which is hard to come by in metal. Those were my top three drummers feel free to tell me who yours are.

English Assignment

If Batman and Spiderman were to fight who would win? Of course Batman would. Some say he sucks because he has no super powers, but he has an abundnace of money, and that itself is a superpower. He doesn't have any other real super powers but still manages to beat all the villans that other "superheroes" need superpowers to beat. If Batman were to fight spiderman another reason why he would win is because he would get his butler to make a special device to eat through spiderwebs and then spiderman's powers would be useless.
